Summertime (Sophie)

I've meaning meaning to post about my LASIK experience (which was good) for some time now -- you don't want to miss my hot picture in my "eye shields"! That is to come. But, for now, you will have a Sophie overload.

Last week, my friend Rachelle and I went to the BYU Pond to feed the ducks with our kids. It just so happens that Rachelle is a photographer. I didn't know that she was planning on bringing her camera, but luckily for me, she did. Bonus. She got some awesome pictures of Sophie! I'm so appreciative of Rachelle and her talent. If you would like to see more of her stuff, check out her website at www.lareephotography.com
So somber.

At first, it really bothered me that Soph's hair was so disheveled, but as others have mentioned, "it's summer...she's supposed to look like she's been playing." True.

Look at her. The cheeks, the eyes. She's just the cutest. Of course I think that as her mom, but she is such a cutey pants. Soph is your typical 2 year old. She says "no" like it's akin to breathing and throws some pretty good tantrums when she wants to, but she can also be the sweetest thing ever as well. She talks a ton. Not surprising in this family -- look who her parents are. She counted to 10 today and named off a bunch of colors, which I didn't even know she could do. How neglectful am I? Unfortunately, she loves more tv than she should - Dora, CareBears, Scooby Doo, Caillou, Olivia -- just to name a few. She can be very caring and nurturing. She loves feeding her baby doll still, giving hugs and kisses if someone is hurt, snuggling. She has also taken to calling me "mama" lately and I kind of love it now. It's so sweet. We sure love our little girl.

how DARLING!
now... on to your questions:
#1 thank you, and thanks for reading my blog! #2 i have always uploaded photos the long way up until recently when i discovered a faster way to do it. it still takes time for me to caption them all. and i take them in the first place because i have a giant fear that each moment may be my last. psycho, but true. #3 it costs us $400. #4 well, its some kind of slicer thing that doesn't work. i guess his sister got us the cheapo version because it doesn't cut very well...

hugs! see ya around...

She is adorable! I can't believe how light her hair is now...didn't it used to be really dark when she was a baby? So cute! And I love the messy hair...it's perfect for a two year old.

Oh my gosh, she is so big! And beautiful, of course. I love the photos, and the hair, but we're pretty much messy-hair people over here. :)

She is the cutest! Even before I officially got to know you, I would always notice how beautiful she is when I would see her at church! Also, it is cute and kind of nice to see her hair a little disheveled... every time I've seen her hair I'm amazed at how perfect it is! Wouldn't we all die for her hair?
