Roger's Wedding
Jeff's dad finally got remarried after 9 years of bachelorhood. We love his new wife, Linda and wish them the best.

I know this picture looks horrible, but I just thought it was too funny. Chance has become a horrible eater...maybe just toddlerhood? He pretends he's going to eat a banana although I know he has no intention of doing so. I gave him the banana anyone, hoping that he might take a bite and just try it. I leave the room and come back and this is what he did. I know it looks like a phallic symbol, but it just cracks me up the things kids do.

Lake Tahoe

Our friends, Jason and Caroline have a house up in Lake Tahoe that they were kind enough to invite a bunch of us to. I had never been and it was just beautiful. A long drive, but it was fun to hang out with everyone. I have to apologize for Chance's naughty ways. He's going through a bit of a 'hitting' phase and unfortunately our friends' kids were the recipients of it. It took a lot of energy shadowing Chance around, putting him in timeout, making him say sorry and give hugs, but hopefully the phase will end shortly. I felt bad because it rained the whole time we were there so Jeff didn't get to snowboard, but I'm glad we went regardless. Chancey did great on the car trips. This is him "reading" one of his favorite books on the way back.

Chance and Ashton watching the infamous "Caillou" together. One of the rare occasions during the trip that Chance wasn't bullying the other kids. :(

Check out Jeff and Chance's moon boots. Pretty sweet, huh?

Long Lost Blogging

I normally hate when people don't blog forever and then do 3-4 posts in one sitting. (Sorry to those of you that do that). I've just been so busy that I haven't updated in a month so I'm trying to catch up. Jeff and I had a wonderful Valentine's/Birthday Weekend a while back. Since my birthday is the 16th, we usually don't do anything big on the 14th. We decided just to spend time as a family and went up to SLC to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. Chance had a blast and loved exploring everything. On our way home we stopped and got Chinese food (a Valentine's tradition) and then just hung out at home that night.

Then for my birthday Jeff went all out and surprised me with reservations to La Caille -- a super fancy, schmancy restaurant also in SLC. We had a lot of fun going out and feeling posh, but I doubt we'll EVER go again. Thanks to a recent bonus Jeff got though I didn't have to stress TOO much about the astronomical cost of our meal. It was so thoughtful and I loved spending time with Jeff without Chance around.
Jeff and I at La Caille. Doesn't Jeff clean up well? He looked so snazzy.

Chance playing at the water-works portion of the museum. Probably his favorite part.
Earlier in the day on Valentine's. I guess I shouldn't be surprised Chance dumped out all the ranch when I wasn't looking. Shame on me.
