Chancey's 2nd Birthday!!

Chancey turned the big 0-2 on Monday, April 20th! He just seems so big to me right now and I'm sure once Sophie arrives, he'll seem even more grown up. Jeff and I decided to take some time off on Chance's birthday and just be together. We opened some presents first and then headed up to SLC to the Children's Museum. Chance had a great day and was plenty spoiled by all the grandparents. Here is the "ball cake" as Chance called it. It actually was super easy to make. I just baked it in a glass Pyrex bowl to make it look more 3-D. It came out great and Chance really enjoyed it. I suppose I could have decorated it more with Utah Jazz stuff, but let's be honest...the fact that I made a cake was a miracle in and of itself.

We got Chance this Big Wheels bike. He LOVES it. I think we overestimated how tall Chance is. His legs don't reach the pedals and so he just sits on it and scoots with his feet, but he still loves it. He has to go on his bike everyday after work (when the weather is good) and ride up and down the sidewalk.
Here are some books that Grandma Joanne sent him. He really loves his new Thomas books!

Jeff bought Chance a little indoor basketball hoop. I'm not sure who likes it better - Jeff or Chance. They both 'dunk' all the time. Afterwards, Chance always says, "I made it" or "I missed".

Grandma and Grandpa came over in the evening and Chance a few more presents.

He really likes his "choo choo" blanket and the new train he got.

I just threw this picture in because Chance is just too cute. We spent much of yesterday morning cleaning up Chance's throw up. It's crazy to me how kids can be fine one second and puking all over the joint the next. I think we did 3 loads of laundry just because of throw up. Anyway, Jeff was nice enough to stay home all day with Chance while I headed up to SLC for a luncheon with some old friends and a bridal shower.

Chance seems to be better for now and I'm finally getting over my cold that's been hanging on for the last two weeks. Sophie is doing great so far. She's head down and everything seems to be in tip-top shape. I can't believe it's only 3 1/2 weeks away. I'm sad in one respect that Chance will be my one and only baby for only a short while longer. I hope he is a good big brother.

Santa brought Colin the same exact big wheel for Christmas and Colin can't reach the pedals either. Of course we haven't tried again in awhile, but I thought that was funny! Chance is looking older - he's really cute. Hope you're doing ok. Happy B-day Chance!
